Well, it is almost New Year’s and people are busy making their resolutions and visualizing new dreams for the coming year. Intuitive Feng Shui can help with that!

Feng Shui can be very complicated but the most important thing to remember is that it is the art of placement and balancing energy.

You do not have to know all the “rules” to use Intuitive Feng Shui. You can still make some changes that move energy and help kickstart your dreams for the New Year. This ancient art of placement and balancing can help you realize your Intentions.

I am a certified Black Sect Feng Shui practitioner but I want to show you something you can use without needing to study all of this information. This method utilizes one of your most wonderful assets, your Intuition. You really can’t do anything wrong and it is about moving energy and having some fun!

For this little exercise there is no need for a book of rules.  I have included a picture of the Feng Shui Bagua in this article so that you can have an idea of colors or objects which may enhance situations you want to improve.

Below are the simple steps you can use to help bring more energy to your new vision for 2013.

1. Imagining

Write down an intention, goal or dream you would really like manifest in the New Year.  Notice any self talk you have that would deter you from your goal. Write that down as well. Next, spend some time imagining your new reality with as much feeling and detail as you possibly can. You can write it out or draw a picture to represent it. You can even sing yourself a song about it if you like that! Use as many of your five senses as possible to help anchor in the thought and feeling.

2. Finding the Area Needing Change

Ask yourself, “What room in my home or business needs attention to help me manifest this vision?” It can also be an area in your yard or property. Go with the very first answer that comes into your heart/body/mind.This is really important. Intuition is that thought/feeling that comes in about 5 seconds and then you often brush it aside as foolish/stupid/etc. when you hear it. So, go with that first impression!

3. The Most Important Thing Needing Attention

Go to the room or area your intuition picked for you and ask yourself, “What is the most important thing in this room (or area) that needs attention to help me manifest my vision?” Write this down. Sometimes you may not “hear” or “think” the answer. You might be visually drawn to a certain area that all of a sudden seems to stick  out like a sore thumb. It might feel more like an impression than a thought and this is also a valid expression of your Intuition.

4. What Do I Need to Do NOW?

As you allow yourself to study the area your next question is, “What do I need to change, add and/or take away now to move energy and help me create my vision?”  This is not about redecorating a room or a change that takes a lot of time. This exercise is about doing something today. You can apply the same process and allow yourself to do something that takes longer but, if at all possible, let it be something you can do relatively quickly for this first exercise.

You may find yourself with more than one answer and they may all help. To start, keep it simple. You want to go with the absolute first impression that comes to your mind. This is the impression we have to learn to use when we begin to  honor the power of Intuition.

If you feel stuck, pretend you know. You may think this is foolish but pretending can bring answers from deep in your subconscious mind. Just go with it and play. Have some FUN! 🙂 You can say something like, “In my imaginary world what would I change to bring more energy to my vision?” This is another way you can find your own guidance. It might surprise you how much sense it makes in the end.

All the information and rules in Feng Shui are nice to know but the essential element is Energy. When you change energy in a way that creates more balance and pleases you, it will send a ripple effect out into your world. Don’t worry about being an expert!

5. Take Action

Go for it! Make your changes to the area. Write down how things feel different when you are done.

6. Follow-up

For the next week or so pay attention to what comes to you about your dream/goal. Perhaps you will have a great idea, maybe you will make more changes or be inspired to get busy taking action towards your goal. Acknowledge any positive changes you see by writing them down or using some other form of expression that you like such as drawing, painting, etc.

**** If you feel like you have brain freeze here are some quick tips for opening your right brain for this exercise:

1. Close your right eye and only look through the left.

2. Write your intention with the opposite hand you normally would use to write.

3. Put your weight and emphasis on your left leg when standing .

I know these may sound crazy but, because we have a cross-over neurological flow in our brains, standing on your left leg or looking out of your left eye may  help to activate your right brain intuitive side.

Of course, clearing clutter always helps……so if you have a ton of clutter around from your holiday chaos, it helps to clean that up too!

Enjoy creating some new energy for your New Year’s aspirations! May you be peaceful, prosperous and loved in this coming year.

Much love,

Marilyn

Remember, aroma can help your brain open to change. It connects directly to your limbic system, the emotional (reward/punishment) area of your brain. For this exercise I recommend Clear Mind/Clear Heart!
